Phil Jackson may be a great coach but we shouldn’t forget that he won championships when he was coaching terrific teams (with terrific players). Would he have won without Jordan/Pippen/et al or Shaq/Kobe/et al? If he didn’t win with the current Lakers, what does that say of Phil Jackson’s coaching skills? Zen Master or not, a coach can only win with a great team. You only have to look at Doc Rivers to see that.

Yeah, I’d agree, when the real heat was on, the Lakers bench wilted, especially compared to James Posey, Eddie House and P.J. Brown who played like grissled, championship tough all-stars the whole series…

The Lakers need better role players. They will never win having Jordan Farmhar, Luke Walton, Sasha Vujacic, and Vladmir Radmonovich. On top of that, Lamar Odom doesn’t seem like he is on the same page with the rest of the team. If the Lakers want to win a championship, they need to get a better bench!
